长期致力于光电功能材料的理论研究与应用开发。先后主持/参与国家自然科学基金和湖南省自然科学基金等科研项目共5项；在Materials Today Chemistry、ACS Applied Optical Materials、Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy等国内外知名期刊及国际国内学术会议发表学术论文40余篇（第一作者/通讯作者SCI论文30篇）；申请发明专利3项（授权3项）。
